Hello

I’m Mark Power and this is my work blog for JISC CETIS & the IEC – based at the University of Bolton.

My official job title is Learning Technologist but I think it’s a bit crap so I generally don’t use one. What I do though is work in the area of technology applied to teaching & learning, with a focus on using technology that plays nice together through the magic of open standards.

My particular focus is on web technologies, mobile technologies, augmented reality and stuff like the Internet of Things, Near Field Communications, etc.
